I gave the app to my real estate buddy, he points it at the window and it tells him what time they will see sun coming through - or the sunset and he brings his client then! I need to know between what times I’ll get direct sun for photography. I’ve been using it for a decade, and I am always impressed 😎🇺🇸✅

I don’t usually leave reviews for stuff, but I have used this tool as a working commercial cinematographer for many years, and it’s hard to imagine life without it. It just works. Bonus points when it helps me determine daylight hours in my garden.

Very Detailed analytics of the Suns apparent trajectory, azimuth, elevation, perspectives and overlays an original celestial map in 3D view against the night sky ! Worth every penny!

A great app for tracking the sun over the year from any location. Easy to use and informative.

Recently added UV index and insolation feature is amazing, especially the fact it takes into account the elevation of the set location.

As a landscape architect, I rely on this app. Sunseeker lets me pinpoint solar exposure thru all seasons so I can accurately select the best plants and locations for seating areas.

I have been using this app for years and it has served me well. As a photographer and field scientist, while setting up camp and working with solar arrays. I would carry around a smart phone or tablet just to have access to this single application.

I love this app and have been using it for years in teaching students about solar path and (Earth) movement. For accuracy, especially VR, it is necessary to remove any mag-safe magnetic case that will interfere with the phone’s compass.

I think this may be the oldest download app I have and it’s stayed perfect for 15 or so years. 3d mode takes all the guesswork out of where the sun is and will be.

Wonderful app

I do photography for a living and this app is an absolute must have! It lets me know where to point when I want to see the sun at a specific spot before the moment comes. It also gives me all the information I need for locating shadows on the map at a location before I get there. It was well worth the money I paid for it!

Most accurate sun locating device I have used in my photography.

For a gardener like me, figuring out the amount of sun exposure at different locations was tedious before I got this Sunseeker app. This really prevents my making mistakes in plant selection and plant location. I am in the process of making solar exposure maps of my yard for my landscape planning.

This app is a must. You can plan your lighting like the sun is your gaffer. The 3D view will give you a remarkably accurate view of the sun’s path so you can plan your shot. Those trendy product shots with hard lights are a breeze with this app.

I wish it showed the moon

As a photographer and a weather enthusiast, I love this app. I set notifications for golden hour, sunset, sunrise, etc.

I’ve relied on Sun Seeker for years, first as a director of photography in the film industry and now as as amateur photographer to give me accurate real time and predictive information to plan for and deal with shoots. As an amateur photographer it helps me be in the right place at the right time to get the shot I want.

While this app isn’t full of all sorts of bells and whistles, it does what it says on the box and it does so perfectly. Working in several fields I have found this a particularly useful tool for solar planning. It’d be fun to toss in things like moon paths and phases, but what would really make the app more useful in the field would be taking more offline—preloading maps and other info for sites with no available signal. That’s no complaint, though, just constructive feedback—I give this app 5/5.

If for what ever reason you need to track the sun and know what the natural light is going to look like at anytime, this is the app for you.

Please stop having the rating function pop up when I am in the middle of using the app. Otherwise, great app.

I am a photographer and I cannot live without this amazing app. Outstanding.

I originally purchased this app to help me with gardening around my home. Aside from seeing more or less where the sun is hitting my home at a particular time, I was hoping the app would have been a bit more detailed. The aerial view of my home is quite far and I would really love it if the app could zoom in more around actual structures and show the position of the sun throughout different times of the year.

Being able to know how many hours light and the direction light is greatly useful in planning my garden, and ensuring I site different plants well.

Really great film tool for finding the suns path when you're at a new location, and makes planning for golden hour a breeze.

This does all you need and is compact with drill down features. Too many features to discuss.

This app is incredible. Without any setup, you can jump right into the AR view, walk up to any window or living space in an apt or house and see exactly where you’ll have sun at any given time of the day and how it changes throughout the time of year. Top down overlay view onto gmaps is also awesome!! 100% worth the $10!

I have been using this app for years. It has save me days worth of work, trying to figure out when and where the sun will be.. the real world of you along with the sun charts allows you to know what time and where to be to put the sun behind a tree a building whatever your environment. Specifically for things like sunrise that you can’t see the trajectory of the sun until it’s already up, knowing the precise place where it will be coming from is an invaluable tool. I have recommended this app to anybody who is an environmental photographer even if it is not your main thing having access to this information, will save you an immense amount of time, just get it, seriously.

I love this ap. It lets me ‘scout’ a location virtually. I can tell immediately if the sun will be in the right direction for a shoot. I can also plan my photo shoot timing using the sun rise/set info along with the angles. I use this all the time and recommend it to others.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve used for where to plant vegetables, gardening, when to safely allow gates for farm animals outside, etc…

Video recording of the screen allows a user to see the entire sun path without having to wonder where a single photo might have been taken from. By panning the camera in real time, it is easy to orient oneself and video recording offers this.

I find this app useful and fascinating.

This is a standard tool on the phone of every cinematographer and photographer in the country. if it’s not on your phone, you don’t work professionally.

I love this app. I use it to plan trips& find interesting terrain. May be my fave app ever!

Please fix this and I will give this five stars. This app helped me get a better understanding of how the sun moves and helped me build the sundial in my front yard and now I’m VERY disappointed that there’s now a visual glitch on the Solar Dial widget where it’s all black and does not show the twilight times at all, especially now it’s almost the June solstice. I have tried resetting iOS to factory settings and keeping it up to date and have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times to no avail. Please fix this!

Never thought knowing the exact location of the sun could be so easy. App is simple to use and feature rich. Well worth the money

Im in the Greens committee at our Country Club and I use the Sun Seeker to help determine tree shadow problems. It also helps read the greens since grass can grow in the direction of the sun. B Lib.
